Welcome to EDU 346 : Integrating Technology Into 21 Century Learning






COURSE DESCRIPTION:

  • Introduces selection, evaluation, and use of appropriate media, including microcomputers and Web-based learning, as an integral part of the curriculum to achieve stated learning objectives. Provides hands-on experience in preparing and using leading edge technology, materials and equipment for effective classroom learning. A grade of C or better must be attained to complete the Teacher Preparation Program.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Create and use a variety of online resources within a thematic unit to individualize instruction and enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.
  2. Evaluate and adapt technology-enhanced curriculum plans to differing levels of available technologies.
  3. Create performance objectives that state intended student learning outcomes in behavioral terms and identify ways in which technology can be used to assess those outcomes.
  4. Use technology to engage in ongoing professional development, practice, productivity, communication, and life-long learning.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to create an online learning experience, and demonstrate continued growth in knowledge of technology operations, resource evaluation for quality, objectivity, and reliability and concepts including strategies from teaching and learning in an online environment.
  6. Demonstrates awareness of equity, ethical, legal, social, physical, and psychological, issues, including Internet safety, relative to teaching in a classroom environment
  7. Identify and apply technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessment and evaluation strategies
  8. Evaluative technology-enhanced learning environments and experiences that incorporate state standards.
  9. Successfully complete and reflect upon collaborative online learning experiences for improving personal skills and knowledge
